  14. Those blocks are "frames". The error control protocol puts a certain
  15. amount of data into a container, a frame. These units are transmitted to
  16. the remote modem. Each frame has a frame check sequence (FCS), which
  17. allows to verify whether the frame arrived undamaged. Damaged frames are
  18. retransmitted.
